Leinster began their Under 21 campaign with a well-served win over Ulster at Castle Avenue last night.

They led 14-9 at half time thanks to tries from Brian O’Riordan and Barry Lynn both converted by Eoghan Hickey. Ulster kept in touch with teo Glen Telford penalties and a drop-goal from out-half Michael Rainey.

A try from Telford leveled the game but Leinster finished the stronger and Eoghan Hickey added two more penalties to win the game for the home side.
