Munster coach Declan Kidney has named an unchanged side, from the one that defeated Harlequins, for Friday’s encounter with Bridgend at The Bewery Field (7.05pm).

The only changes, from the squad that travelled to England, occur among the replacements, with James Blaney in for the injured John Fogarty (shoulder), Mike Prendergast preferred to Derek Hegarty and the return to action of Alan Quinlan meaning the omission of Donncha O’Callaghan. Quinlan hasn’t played for Munster since injuring himself in the Celtic League game against Caerphilly in early September but the Shannon man played for his club last week and his performance in that game earns him a recall to the squad.
The Munster squad flies out to Wales on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Leinster will name their side for Friday’s Donnybrook clash with Newport at a Wednesday lunchtime press conference at Old Belvedre’s ground Anglesea road. Coach Matt williams is hopeful that Brian O’Driscoll will be available for selection despite retiring injured in ireland’s magnificent victory over England last Saturday.
