Veteran prop Jason Leonard is dropped to the bench, Matt Dawson is dropped entirely and Jason Robinson is selected at full back ahead of such notables as out of form Iain Balshaw and very much in-form Tim Stimpson. Stimpson’s Leicester colleague Ben Kay will partner Danny Grewcock in the second row and Sale out-half Charlie Hodgson, earns a call up as cover to Johnny Wilkinson.
