With Bryn Cunningham still sidelined through injury, Paddy Wallace moves to full-back for Ulster for their clash with Neath on Friday in the Celtic League. Wallace, so impressive in the Ireland A game against the All Bllacks should prove a more than adequate replacement for the unfortunate Cunningham who was injured in the final minutes of Ulster’s marvellous win over Stade Francais at Ravenhill earlier this month.

Wallace’s place in the centre now goes to Adam Larkin while Lions lock Jeremy Davidson is named on the bench in place of Paddy Johns.

The one injury worry concerns captain Andy Ward who is still receiving treatment on an ankle injury. Ulster coach Alan Solomons and indeed all Ulster supporters will be hoping that the inspirational Ward will be fit enough to take his place in the starting line up for a game that the home side go into as firm favourites.

Ulster: Paddy Wallace; James Topping, Adam Larkin, Jonathan Bell, Tyrone Howe; David Humphreys, Neil Doak; Justin Fitzpatrick, Paul Shields, Simon Best; Gary Longwell, Mark Blair; Tony McWhirter, Andy Ward (capt), Russell Nelson.
Replacements: 16 Mark Crick, 17 Clem Boyd, 18 Jeremy Davidson, 19 Neil McMillen, 20 20 Kieran Campbell, 21 Ryan Constable, 22 Sheldon Coulter.
