Ireland’s New Zealand Venues Confirmed.

Ireland will play New Zealand in Dunedin on Saturday June 15th and in Auckland, a week later, on June 22nd.

Eddie O’Sullivan’s first overseas tour match will take place in Dunedin’s ‘House of Pain’ when Ireland play New Zealand on Saturday June 15th. The second Test will take place in Auckland, a week later, on June 22nd. The New Zealand Rugby Football Union has confirmed the dates and venues for the two Tests that are included as part of Ireland’s three match tour. The opposition for the third game has still to be named.

The last time Ireland played in Dunedin’s was in May 1992 when they almost pulled off a famous victory, leading for most of the game before eventually losing 24-21. However, in the second Test, a week later, New Zealand thrashed the Irish 59-6.
