Munster finalised their replacement bench for the game against Harlequins, following a light run out at Thomond Park. Donnacha O’Callaghan will provide the second row back up to Mick Galwey and Mick O’Driscoll while Jeremy Staunton and John O’Neill are the cover for the three quarter line. Internationals Rob Henderson, David Wallace and John Hayes were not considered because of injury.

Heavy drizzle fell in Limerick as Munster underwent their final preparation and it is expected that that rain will persist leaving the pitch heavy and handling conditions difficult for this crucial tie.

Munster Replacements. James Blaney, Martin Cahill, Donncha O’Callaghan, Colm McMahon, Derek Hegarty, Jeremy Staunton, John O’Neill.

In sharp contrast, Leinster face the prospect of having their match with Newcastle postponed because of a frozen pitch. Match referee Graham Simmonds inspected the pitch earlier today (Friday) and declared it unplayable. There will be a further inspection on the morning of the game at 11am. In the event that the situation hasn’t changed the game will be put back 24 hours. It’s far from an ideal situation for Leinster who face a trip to France on Thursday for the final Pool game against Toulouse.
