Ireland Side Named Later Today

19/03/02.The Ireland side to play Italy in next Saturday’s Lloyds TSB Six Nations championship game at Lansdowne Road will be named later today following training at Greystones RFC

There will be changes from the side that beat Scotland with Keith Wood back in full training, Mick Galwey omitted and a re-shuffle required in the backs because of the injury to Kevin Maggs.

Wood is certain to come into the selection picture following his successful comeback for Harlequins at the weekend. Paul O’Connell and Gary Longwell vie for one of the second row spaces and either Tyrone Howe or John Kelly (pictured) could come into the side for Maggs.

Training this morning at Dr.Hickey Park is open to the public.
