Warner for Leinster

17/05/02. Leinster coach Matt Williams is hoping to shortly complete the process that will see his 26 year old compatriot, Christian Warner make the move from Pau to Leinster

Leinster continue to have problems at out half with injury to Nathan Spooner and Emmet Farrell and Warner is seen as the ideal replacement in the Leinster set up. Warner is currently playing with Pau in France. His honours to date include Australian Under 19’s, Australian Under 21’s and Australia ‘A’. Christian was in school in Waverley College, Sydney and Randwick is his ‘home’ club. ‘JPR’ played Super -12 for five years with the NSW Waratahs (’97-’01).
Leinster hope to finalise Christian Warner’s contract shortly.
