Ireland Move To Auckland

16/06/02. The Ireland rugby squad had an early call this morning to make their 8.20 am Air New Zealand flight to Auckland where they will play the second Test next Saturday evening.

Besides the usual bumps and bruises, the only player causing any concern was Paul O’Connell who took a bang to his shoulder in the game last night.

On arrival in Auckland the squad transferred to their base for the week, the City Life Hotel on Queen Street which is a short distance from Princes Wharf.

It was a recovery day for the players with nothing more than a pool session planned for the afternoon.
