On a non-rugby note: The Celtic Sea Challenge

For those of you that are interested in supporting deserving charities then take note of this.

This coming weekend a group of six rowers are to set sail from Courtmacsherry Harbour in West Cork, and embark on a greulling 180 mile row, bound for Newquay in Cornwall.
The row is being completed by members of Courtmacsherry Rowing Club, current All-Ireland champions, and members of Courtmacsherry Lifeboat.
It is estimated that the row will take oer 45 hours to complete.

The reason I am bringing this to your attention is that my dad, Pat Lawton, is one of the members of the group, and current Assitant-Mechanic of Courtmacsherry Lifeboat.

The Celtic Sea Challenge is a fundraising event and all monies raises will be donated to two very worthwhile charities, The RNLI Ireland and the Chernobyl Children’s Project. All donations are welcome and can be made to AIB Clonakility account number 05919078.
