Connacht, the reigning champions now meet Munster in the final on Saturday. The sides played each other in Musgrave Park easrlier, a game Connacht won 19-13.

The final is scheduled to be played in Thomond Park but Connacht officials will attempt to have the game played in Galway. Team manager Sean Brennan explains. If the game goes ahead in Thomond Park it will mean we have played four of our five games away from home. Last weekend we had an exhausting trip to Belfast, our second journey there in a matter of three weeks. We didn’t get home on Saturday night until 11 o’clock.”

Connacht have ten of the extended squad that captured the title last season while eight of that squad have secured development contracts with the province this season.
