Munster lock Paul O’Connell will miss his side’s crucial Heineken Cup games against Perpignan and Gloucester after sustaining a broken thumb in the victory over Ulster

Munster lock Paul O’Connell will miss his side’s crucial Heineken Cup games against Perpignan and Gloucester and the Celtic League final, after sustaining a broken thumb in the victory over Ulster.
O’Connell who was replaced in the 62nd minute of the Thomond Park encounter will have his hand in plaster for the next two weeks and could be out of action for up to six weeks.

Wing Anthony Horgan injured a hamstring and will have further tests today (Sat) to determine the seriousness of the injury.
