Five tries, two in the opening half, gave Ireland a comprehensive 37-13 victory over Italy in Rome this afternoon.

Five tries, two in the opening half, gave Ireland a comprehensive 37-13 victory over Italy in Rome this afternoon. They led 18-3 at half-time with tries in that opening period from Peter Stringer and John Kelly.
Man of the Match, David Humphreys extended the lead with an early second half try and there were further tries from Brian O’Driscoll and Geordan Murphy

Italy had their only try from Denis Dallan.
