Never Say Die Attitude Continued by Ireland (U18) Youth

Whether or not they had seen the Ireland A or Under 21 games, the Ireland Youth side maintained the trend set by their senior colleagues when they snatched a draw in the closing moments of their game against Italy in Asti this (Saturday) afternoon.
The Irish side trailed 15-10 with a minute of normal time remaining but then ran the ball the length of the pitch for Ricky Walsh to score the equalising try.
Ireland trailed 5-3 at the break, their sole first half score, a penalty from Ian Hanly. And they looked to be in dire straits when the home side raced into a 15-3 lead midway through the second half.
However, the Irish rallied, and David Batt scored a try which Hanly converted to set up a tense finish and a try from Walsh to earn the Irish a hugely commendable share of the spoils.
