Ireland are through to the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup thanks to a brave and courageous display against Argentina that saw them emerge 16-15 winners. They led 10-9 at the interval, then went behind 12-10, before replacement Ronan O’Gara landed two penalties to push them four points clear. Gonzalo Quesada landed a 73rd minute penalty to ensure a nervous final stage but Ireland produced a heroic finale to hold on for a glorious victory.
