French coach Bernard Laporte has picked the same team that hammered Scotland 51-9 a little under a fortnight ago for the World Cup quarter-final against Ireland in Melbourne on Sunday.

Laporte rested several top players for last Friday’s game against the United States after France had already secured top spot in pool B.

There are two changes on the replacements bench. Patrick Tabacco is named as the reserve flanker ahead of Christian Labit while centre Brian Liebenberg, who scored a hat-trick of tries against the Americans, is preferred to Damien Traille.
