International back-row forward, Eric Miller will miss Leinster Lions’ crucial Heineken Cup Pool Six clash with Biarritz Olympique in Parc des Sports Aguilera on Saturday.

The influential Miller retired injured in his side’s game against Cardiff Blues on Friday and now requires minor surgery to correct the damage.

Good news for Lions coach Gary Ella however is that Christian Warner, Adam Leek and Des Dillon are expected to be fit for the game that will decide who comes through from Pool 3 to the quarter finals.

Munster coach Alan Gaffney await further medical advice on Shaun Payne and Frank Sheahan before deciding whether they will take any part in the squad for the match against Bourgoin (Saturday, Thomond Park, 5pm).

Payne took a knock to the knee after 20 minutes of Munster’s game with Treviso while Sheahan missed out on that game, again, with knee trouble.
