“The Ulster Branch Committees look forward to working with the clubs to finalise the detail of the exciting new Provincial structure over the coming months – Michael Reid.

The Executive and Domestic Rugby Committees of the Ulster Branch have
met
with representatives of the IRFU to discuss the new competition
structure
for the Senior Game. A full discussion of all aspects of the new
structure
took place and the Union satisfactorily clarified a number of issues
which
were tabled.

The Ulster Branch Executive and Domestic Committee fully endorse the
aims
and objectives for Domestic Rugby and appreciate the attempts made to
provide greater competition and greater participation of which this
revised
structure will form part.

In addition, the introduction of a more meaningful format for the
Provincial
Leagues is appreciated by the Ulster Branch and we look forward to
working
with our clubs over the coming months to finalise the structure of
this
league.

Branch Chief Executive Michael Reid commented; “The meeting with
the Union
was open and honest and Branch Committees look forward to working with the clubs to finalise the detail of the exciting new Provincial structure over the coming months.”
