Celtic League – Ulster Knocked Off the Top

Irish sides experienced another dismal Celtic League wekend with Ulster becoming the third side to lose after they were beaten 27-19 by Gwent Dragons in Rodney Parade.

Irish sides experienced another dismal Celtic League wekend with Ulster becoming the third side to lose after they were beaten 27-19 by Gwent Dragons in Rodney Parade. Earlier in the day Connacht a big half time lead and were fortunate to end up sharing the spoils (28-28) with Glasgow at The Sportground in Galway. Last night (Fri), Munster surrendererd a 15-6 lead and lost (18-15) to The Ospreys while Leinster Lions lost 40-34 against Edinburgh at Murrayfield.

The Lions however, probably performed the best of the Irish sides. They were trailing 27-6 at half time and got back to within 10 points of the lead scoring three tries in the process before the home side closed out the match with a try from Nathan Hines.
