The Neath-Swansea Ospreys have opened up a four point gap over second-placed Leinster after the weekend’s fixtures.

Gavin Henson is the man of the moment for The Ospreys, beign central to their five-try 39-3 win over the Cardiff Blues on Saturday, and scoring 19 points of his own. The Ospreys now have three wins from three including two bonus points giving them 14 points.

Leinster’s narrow win over Munster sees them alone in second place on 10 points, with Ulster’s comprehensive win in Galway bringing them up to third on 8 points.

Connacht drop to fifth, behind Glasgow, narrow winners over Edinburgh by 12-10 thanks to Dan Parks’ boot.

The season is going very poorly for the defending champions, Llanelli Scarlets, who lost again. In difficult conditions at Rodney Parade, they went down 15-0 to the Gwent Dragons, thanks to the boot of Ceri Sweeney, who bagged all the home side’s points.

Munster are now third from bottom after their defeat at Donnybrook, with just one draw to show for three matches, although they have picked up two bonus points.

Edinburgh and The Borders prop up the table, though they have played a match less each than most of the other teams.
