Coach Michael Bradley has decided to start with an experimental young pack. This is one of the last chances for some of the up and coming young players in the squad to impress management before the two European games against Narbonne, the first of which is in two weeks.
There are two changes and two positional switches in the back line. Ted Robinson comes in on the wing for Niall O’Brien while Mark McHugh comes in at inside centre, James Downey switches to outside while Paul Warwick moves to out half in place of Eric Elwood.
In the back row, Michael Swift returns from injury as those Michael Carroll who replaces the injured John O’Sullivan.
There are two changes among the replacements from last week. Eric Elwood takes a place on the bench while Chris Keane will be the cover utility back. Justin Meagher is out with flu.
