The Celtic League Association has confirmed the appointment of David Jordan as interim Tournament Director of the Celtic League and Celtic Cup.

Jordan has been associated with the competition since its inception in his capacity as Chief Executive of Glasgow Rugby – a position he took up in September, 1997.

On his appointment, Jordan said: “I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to continue my association with such a prestigious competition.

“I look forward to working with the representatives of the clubs, broadcasters, sponsors and supporters as the season heads towards an exciting finale.”

John Hussey, Chairman of the Celtic League Association, said: “We are delighted that David has joined the Celtic League Team. His experience as former Chief Executive of Glasgow will be of great value. I am sure he will help us to make our League an even better competition.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Keith Grainger for his very significant contribution during his term as Tournament Director. We wish him well in his new role in Scotland.”
