The Irish Rugby Supporters Club have teamed up with Munster, Ireland and Lions legend Mick Galwey to host a members event to watch the British & Irish Lions take on Argentina in Cardiff on May 23 (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Lions will be playing their first ever tour warm-up game against the Pumas as they prepeare for their 11-game trip to New Zealand. The Pumas match will be will be shown live on big screens in the corporate boxes at Lansdowne Road – under the guidance and comment of Mick Galwey.
Galwey won 41 international caps, made 140 Munster appearances and captained his province on an incredible 85 occasions. He was also selected to tour with the Lions on their last visit to New Zealand in 1993, so there is no better man to understand the challenges the 2005 side will face this summer.
The “Members Only” event will include an in depth Q&A session with Mick Galwey, a tour of the stadium facilties, and a drinks reception with finger food for all as they enjoy all the action from Cardiff in an international match environment.
