Action from last season’s New Years Day clash

Leinster have confirmed a date change for their festive Celtic League fixture with Munster at the end of the year.

Michael Cheika’s side, who were originally scheduled to face Munster on New Year’s Eve, will now welcome their provincial rivals to Donnybrook, 24 hours earlier, on Friday, December 30 (kick-off 7.45pm).

The match could also switch venues to the RDS, which boasts a capacity of 13,500-14,000, if Leinster tie up a deal for a temporary move to the Ballsbridge venue for their Heineken Cup fixtures.

The Leinster v Munster League clash will be televised live by Setanta Sports.
