Buccaneers easily bossed Lansdowne into submission, despite scoring just one try in their 17-0 win at Dubarry Park.
A try from Adrian Hanley and four penalties from Tommy Cregan helped Geoff Moylan’s side rise up to fifth in the Division One standings.
The damage was done in a first half that ended 14-0 in the Pirates’ favour. Back row Hanley, man-of-the-match against Ballymena last week, touched down from a forward drive on 17 minutes.
Ex-Shannon player Cregan, who had kicked a first-minute penalty, added three more place kicks either side of the break to dump a lacklustre Lansdowne side.
Buccs’ number 8 David Kelly claimed the One Direct man-of-the-match award.

Division One pacesetters Shannon chalked up their third win of the season in wet conditions in the capital on Saturday.
The champions, who meet UL Bohemians in a mouth-watering Limerick derby next Saturday, beat Dublin University after a dour first half which ended 3-3.
Dublin University’s Simon Mitchell landed a third-minute penalty, but missed another two efforts, with the backing of the wind, in the opening period.
Shannon fly-half Andrew Thompson squared it up with a tenth-minute penalty before the vgisitors’ second row Padraig O’Brien was sin-binned for hands in the ruck.
Two minutes after the restart, Thompson kicked the champions into a 6-3 lead – one they never surrendered. The league veteran swapped another penalty with Mitchell before Brian Tuohy broke
free to send his centre colleague Eoin Cahill over for the game’s only try on 72 minutes.
Thompson swung the conversion over and Mossy Lawlor topped off the away win with a 40-metre drop goal in injury-time.

Belfast Harlequins handed new coach Andy Ward his first league win at home as they edged UCD in a tight struggle.
College were 8-0 up at half-time thanks to a try and penalty from fly half Killian Lett, who was deputising for the Leinster-tied Eoghan Hickey.
Two penalties from Michael Glancy brought ‘Quins, who started with Ward in their pack again, right back into it and they clinched victory, late in the second half, from a 65th-minute try by former Ireland Under-21 lock Lewis Stevenson.
The victory shifts ‘Quins, who had flanker Rob Devonshire sin-binned in the first half, up to ninth.
