In Pics: Ireland U-21 34 Italy U-21 9

Click here for photos from Friday’s ESB Under-21 International between Ireland and Italy at Dubarry Park in Athlone.

Pictured above: Ireland scrum half Paul Marshall jets in and around behind the posts for his first half try. The Ballinahinch clubman’s score helped Mark McDermott’s side 15-3 after 25 minutes at the midlands venue.

Ireland centre Conan Doyle takes on the Italian defence. Doyle, a member of the Garryowen club, was part of the Irish squad that finished ninth at last summer’s IRB Under-21 World Cup in Argentina.

Ireland lock Daniel Tuohy rises highest, but fails to garner possession at a lineout. Italian captain Alberto Saccardo, who was sin-binned for a ruck offence in the first half, takes the ball.
