Garryown earn bonus point against Shannon to take top spot…Terenure out ahead in Divison 2…tight at the top in AIB League 3.
AIB League Division 1
Pacesetters Shannon suffered onty their second loss of the seaon and dropped to fourth overall in the league, showing just how tight it is in the race for a home semi-final.
Garryowen beat them by 35 – 8 to earn a bonus point and secure top spot from Clontarf who had a narrow win over UCD.
Third place Cork Constitution seem to have done for the hopes of Belfast Harlequins in ths chasing pack with their 53 – 22 away win.
AIB League Division 2
League leaders Terenure maintained the pace with a 17 – 0 away win over Thomond. Dolphin pulled clear of the chasing pack with a 35 – 5 win over Old Crescent while Young Munster kept up the hunt with a narrow win over Midleton.
AIB League Division 3
The top three all recorded emphatic wins in AIB League Division 3 with Clonakilty beating Instonians by 39 – 10, Wanderers beating Banbridge by 35 – 8 and Suttonians beating City of Derry by 41 – 19.
