The Munster Women’s senior and Under-21 teams will play two games against a top American touring side this week in Cork.

Tuesday will see the Munster Under-21s will face the Penn State University Women’s team at Woodleigh Park – the grounds of Highfield RFC. It will be the first outing this season for the Under-21s, who are captained by Ballincollig scrum half Claire Rigney. That game kicks off at 4.30pm.

On Thursday night, the Munster senior side will face the same opposition at Cork Constitution’s grounds at Temple Hill (kick-off 7.30pm). The seniors will be led for the first time by Highfield centre Deirdre Lynch.

Penn State are one of the strongest Varsity teams in the US, and top players include Kirsten Aerts and Claudia Braymer who were involved in the national team’s recent tour of Ireland. Last year, Penn State had two of their players named in the Women’s Collegiate All-American first team – chosen from a pick of 10,000 players.

TOUR FIXTURE DETAILS:
