Pictured above: Buccaneers flanker Conor Hartigan evades the tackle of Angus Martyn on his way to scoring a try in Ireland’s AIB Club international win. Hartigan was one of two Buccs players involved in the Irish side – team captain David Quinlan being the other. Hartigan has also played for Garryowen in the AIB League.
Dubliun University lock Marc Warburton takes a lineout at Donnybrook. The former Wesley College student, who stands at 6ft 7in, has played in recent seasons for the Leinster Under-21 and Development squads.
Clontarf winger Niall O’Brien, who scored an injury-time try for Ireland, on the attack. O’Brien, who turns 25 next month, has previously played for Monivea, UCD and Buccaneers on the club scene and earned representative honours with the Ireland Youths and Under-19s. He was also a member of the Connacht squad last season, scoring two tries in seven Celtic League outings with considerably more hair!
Ireland hooker and man of the match Matt Crockett on the charge. A captain of the Dublin University first team, the 6ft Crockett is studying medicine at Trinity. He was previously capped by Wales Schools having spent his formative years across the water.
Clontarf’s Derek Keane, who is the AIB League Division One’s top try scorer with 11 in 12 games, tries to fend off Scottish winger Mark Robertson.
Derek Keane getting to grips with Robertson again. The ‘Tarf winger, who has scored four tries in his last four league outings, previously played for Skerries.
