Armchair rugby fans are in for a treat this June with coverage of Ireland’s summer tour and Churchill Cup campaign on Sky Sports, and live Under-21 action on Setanta Sports Ireland.
Mark McDermott’s Ireland U-21 squad are currently in camp preparing for the start of the 2006 IRB U-21 World Championship in France. The tournament kicks off on Friday week (June 9). That evening the hosts will take on McDermott’s side in a mouth-watering tussle at Issoire’s Stade au Complexe du Mas.
Setanta Sports Ireland will be broadcasting the France-Ireland game live. The England v New Zealand clash at Stade Darragon in Vichy (Tuesday, June 13) will also be getting the live treatment, as well as the two semi-finals (Stade Marcel Michelin, Clermont) on Wednesday, June 21.
Various delayed ‘live’ games are also planned.
