Munster’s John Kelly has been forced to withdraw from the Ireland summer tour squad due to a shoulder injury.

The centre/winger was suffering from a left shoulder strain that he picked up in Munster’s Celtic League win over Cardiff last Saturday. He remained with the Ireland squad to have his injury assessed and treated during this week’s pre-tour training camp in Limerick.

The shoulder has not recovered sufficiently and Kelly’s place in the touring party for New Zealand and Australia has been taken by his Munster team mate Anthony Horgan.
