Supporters Club Ticket Offer

The ticket offer for Supporters Club members sold out in a ten minute period this morning.

Members of the Irish Rugby Supporters Club got the opportunity to purchase the last remaining available tickets for the RBS 6 Nations games against France and England this morning.

The tickets were made available to members following the normal distribution of tickets to IRFU stakeholders through the branches and rugby clubs.

Tickets were sold online to members on a first come first served basis. The demand for tickets for these historic games has been unprecedented; such is the level of support for the Ireland Rugby Team.

A membership renewal offer ran in early 2006 for members who had joined the club when it launched in early 2005. These members were offered a chance to purchase one ticket for the Ireland V France game before the general member sale this morning. This sale took place on Tuesday last with all remaining tickets included in this morning’s sale.

The Irish Rugby Supporters Club was launched in 2005 with the objective of creating a platform to bring Irish fans both at home and abroad closer to the Irish team and to Irish rugby. The club offers many benefits to members, it has its own member’s only website with exclusive content featuring articles from behind the scenes and news and views from the Team.

In addition meet and greet competitions, match day events and Q&A sessions and the chance to meet players and coaches have all taken place. When tickets become available, following the normal distribution to rugby clubs, these have been offered to members of the Supporters Club on a first come first served basis.

With an exciting year ahead for rugby in Ireland we hope all our members will enjoy supporting the team both on and off the pitch. To those members who were not successful this time in their application for a ticket, we hope you continue to enjoy the many benefits the club offers; we thank you for your support, and hope you enjoy what should be a very exciting season.
