AIB Cup Draws Set For Tuesday

The draws for the quarter-finals of the 2006/07 AIB Cup and AIB Junior Cup will take place next Tuesday.

The draws will be held at the AIB Bank Centre in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 next week, with a press conference to follow. Both the AIB Cup and AIB Junior Cup are the premier All-Ireland club knockout competitions in Irish rugby, consisting of representatives from each of the four provinces.

The winners of tomorrow’s AIB Cup first round ties will be entered into the quarter-final draw. The first round fixtures are as follows: Clonakilty v Greystones, St. Mary’s College v Cork Constitution, Shannon v Clontarf, Ballymena v UCD, Galwegians v Dungannon, Belfast Harlequins v Nenagh Ormond, Garryowen v Buccaneers, Terenure College v Malone.

The following teams have qualified from the first round of the AIB Junior Cup and will be entered into the draw for the last-eight: Leinster – Seapoint, Boyne; Munster – Crosshaven, Mallow; Ulster – Limavady, Coleraine, Armagh, Dromore.

The draws will begin at 11am in the AIB Bank Centre’s Merrion Room on Tuesday.
