Brian, a long time supporter of the hospital, met with staff and patients before making the official announcement. After meeting with three-year-old Eilis McGrory from Inch Island in Donegal, he said: “I am really pleased to announce that Temple Street has been chosen to be the Tesco Charity of the Year for 2007.
“This is a fantastic fundraising opportunity for the hospital and I am sure that it will prove to be a very exciting and successful year for all involved.”
Eilis gives Brian the ‘once over’ ahead of the start of the Six Nations.
Scrumming down with Brian are four-year-old James Daedall from Clonsilla in Dublin, Eilis McGrory and Dylan Walsh.
