U19 Rugby World Championship Tickets On Sale

With less than seven weeks to go until the IRB Under 19 Rugby World Championship kicks off in Belfast and Bangor tickets are now available to purchase for all matches.

24 teams and over 700 players will participate in the third biggest tournament in world rugby with 60 matches played from 4th -21st April 2007.

Taking place over the Easter break and with double-header matches played every two days at 5.30pm and 7.30pm, the Under 19 Rugby World Championship offers an excellent opportunity for rugby enthusiasts and sports fans to see the next generation of stars – Ireland captain Brian O’Driscoll and his team-mate Andrew Trimble as well as New Zealand Captain Richie McCaw, Australia’s George Gregan and South Africa’s Brian Habana have all played in the U19 Championship.

Tickets have been competitively priced, starting at just £2 for an adult and £1 for a child, to encourage spectators, and early birds who pre-purchase their tickets will pay less than those who pay at the gate on match day.

Tickets options include the “Day Pass” which provides entry to the game(s) played at a specified venue on a particular match day, the “Follow The Team” ticket which will permit entry to any ground at which that particular team are playing throughout the tournament and a “Venue” specific ticket which will give the bearer entry to all matches played at that particular ground.

Those keen to see the action can pre-order their tickets from the Ravenhill counter from Friday 16th February 07 or by calling the ticket hotline on 028 9049 3222. The “Follow the Team” and “Venue” tickets will also be available to purchase online from www.ulsterrugby.com from Monday 26th February.

Significant excitement and interest has already been generated throughout Belfast and the wider Rugby community and the announcement of a competitively-priced will further heighten that excitement as the city awaits the arrival of the world’s most talented under 19 Rugby players,” said IRB Tournaments Director Simon Jelowitz. “We are confident that with seven weeks to go that the IRB Under 19 World Championship in Belfast will be one of the most successful in the Tournament’s history,” added Jelowitz.

The 24 teams are spilt into two divisions, with Division A matches played at Ravenhill, Deramore Park and Shaw’s Bridge, and Division B games played at Malone, Queens and Uprichard Park in Bangor. Both the Division A and Division B finals will be played at Ravenhill. For a full match schedule visit our Tournament section.
