Stringer Fit To Play Against England

Munster scrum half Peter Stringer, who has been nursing a hand injury, has been declared fit to play for Ireland in Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations match against England at Croke Park (kick-off 5.30pm).

Stringer was ruled out of the game against France after picking up a hand injury against Wales. The injury took longer than originally expected to heal but the 73-times capped Munster man was able to take a full part in training in recent days.

Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan said: “We are happy that Peter’s hand has healed and he has had no negative reaction to it in training in the last few days.”

Ulster’s Isaac Boss, who started against France, moves to the replacements bench with Eoin Reddan of Wasps dropping out of the matchday 22.
