Bohs And Shannon Set For Thomond Send-Off

Fittingly, co-tenants UL Bohemians and Shannon are to meet next week in the final match to be played at Thomond Park before the ground’s redevelopment.

Confirmation came through on Friday that the Limerick sides will play their AIB League Division One fixture on Saturday, March 3, which is a ‘home’ game for Bohs, at the famous Limerick ground.

The league clash is a veritable ‘eight-pointer’ with Shannon (second) and Bohs (third) fighting it out for a ‘home’ semi-final berth in the play-offs.

Bohs, who beat Shannon in the Limerick Charity Cup final earlier this season, featured in the first ever game played at Thomond Park in 1932.
