After watching England defeat defending champions France at Twickenham this afternoon to throw the 2007 RBS 6 Nations championship race back open, Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan gave the following reaction.
EDDIE O’SULLIVAN: POST ENGLAND v FRANCE QUOTES:
“The result today opens up the championship heading into the final weekend. We are now in a position where ourselves, England and France all have the chance to win the Six Nations.
“England played very well and I suppose the result will put pressure on France in their final game against Scotland who will certainly be no pushovers.
“The Italian victory (over Wales in Rome) puts a different complexion on our final game and as I have always said, Italy are a good side and are now playing with a huge amount of belief.
“England also have a tough game against a Welsh side that are going to be fighting for their lives at home in Cardiff, so I don’t think there are any easy games over the final weekend of the championship.”
