Mark McCall will be hoping for a return to form when his Ulster side take on the Borders this Friday at Netherdale. Ulster will be viewing this game as a must win if they are to retain the league title.
Ulster are currently third in the league behind Leinster and the Ospreys. The Welsh side have a game in hand as do the Scarlet who are three points behind.
Ulster have included two of Ireland’s Under-20 Grand Slam-winnings stars on the replacements bench. The Under-20s’ versatile back row and captain David Pollock and centre Darren Cave are both named. Pollock has already featured in the Ulster line-up but this is the first call-up for Belfast Harlequins starlet Cave.
ULSTER (v Border Reivers): Bryn Cunningham; Tommy Bowe, Andrew Trimble, Paddy Wallace, Andrew Maxwell; David Humphreys, Isaac Boss; Bryan Young, Rory Best, Simon Best (capt), Justin Harrison, Ryan Caldwell, Stephen Ferris, Neil Best, Roger Wilson.
Replacements: Paul Shields, Justin Fitzpatrick, Tim Barker, David Pollock, Kieran Campbell, Darren Cave, Paul McKenzie.
