Magners League: Ulster V Glasgow Warriors

Ulster have seen their grip on the Magners League trophy loosen in recent weeks with just one win from their last four meetings.

Magners League Round 20

Ulster V Glasgow Warriors
Ravenhill, Friday April 27th
Kick Off: 7:30 p.m.

Referee: James Jones (WRU); Touch Judges: D Keane (IRFU), D Philips (IRFU)

Ulster’s last win in the league was against bottom of the table Border Reivers. They are still in second place in the table but with the Ospreys and Cardiff breathing down their neck with games in hand they will have to win their last two games well.

Ulster captain Simon Best: “The title looks as if it is gone, but what we did say was that we wanted to go out and produce two big performances at Ravenhill, It is has been a rollercoaster year and now it is important to finish the season well to carry it on into next year. We also want to give the Ravenhill crowd a send-off as well. There are a lot of guys feeling pretty disappointed but I don’t think we will be short of any motivation going to Ravenhill for two more games.”

Glasgow Warriors have suffered just one defeat in their last five games in the Magners League since early January: 3-13 at Newport on 2 March. The Warriors won their last match in Ireland two weeks ago at Connacht.

Ulster have won the last four clashes they have had with Glasgow, whilst the Warriors have lost on each of their three previous visits to Ravenhill.
