The final round of Magners League fixtures has been confirmed today by the league’s governing body Celtic Rugby.
With only two rounds to go, it is still all to play for at the top of the Magners League table – Leinster lead the way on 56 points, but their chief chasers, the Ospreys, are now only two points behind after last Friday’s home win over Leinster. Armed with a game in hand, Lyn Jones’ Welsh side could soon be in pole position.
Third-placed Cardiff Blues could still have a big say in the destination of the title, while defending champions Ulster, who lie in fourth, are out of contention with only one game left this season – against Edinburgh on Friday week.
Of the main three title contenders, Cardiff Blues will host Leinster on Friday week – May 11 – at the Arms Park (kick-off 7.10pm, live BBC Wales/Setanta Sports), while the Ospreys’ trip to Border Reivers will take place on Saturday, May 12, with S4C covering the game (kick-off 5.30pm).
Ulster v Edinburgh and Llanelli Scarlets v Connacht have both been scheduled for Friday, May 11, while Munster’s home clash with Glasgow Warriors will take place on Saturday, May 12 at Musgrave Park (kick-off 5.30pm).
