League Finalists Make Munster Squad
Two players who graced last weekend’s AIB League Division One final – Cork Constitution full-back Denis Hurley and Garryowen scrum half Gerry Hurley – have been included in Munster’s extended squad for their final match of the season against Glasgow Warriors.
Munster coach Declan Kidney has named a 28-man squad for this Saturday’s final Magners League clash at home to the on-form Warriors (Musgrave Park, kick-off 5.30pm).
As well as the two Hurleys, Thomond winger Keith Earls, a member of the Ireland Under-20 Grand Slam-winning side this season, has been called up for provincial duty. All three players are members of the Munster Academy.
Gerry Hurley played a starring role in Garryowen’s Division One final victory last weekend, while namesake Denis scored a try in the course of an outstanding display for runners-up Constitution.
Also returning to the squad from injury is Shaun Payne who has been out of action since breaking a thumb against Cardiff in early March.
