The Ireland squad will be in the formal World Cup camp as of Monday, before departing from Dublin for Bordeaux on Wednesday afternoon.
The squad trained for the final time at St. Gerard’s School in Bray today in a full contact session. Paddy Wallace took part in some of the session, but remained out of contact as he recovered from his bruised hip. Denis Hickie did not train as he had a slightly bruised knee from yesterday’s session.
Shane Horgan has returned to light running and also had an upper body fitness session with the team’s fitness staff at St. Gerard’s. Brian O’Driscoll also trained today, but remained out of contact as part of his planned recovery schedule. Stephen Ferris and David Wallace both took a full part in the session.
