Wednesday saw the victorious captains from last season’s AIB League proudly parade the Division One, Two and Three trophies at a photocall at Ely Place in Dublin. Garryowen skipper Paul Neville talked to IrishRugby.ie about last season’s triumphs and the new top flight campaign which begins on Saturday.
The AIB League Division One title, the AIB Cup, the Munster Senior and Junior Cups. That was quite an array of trophies which Garryowen collected during the 2006/07 season.
Can they repeat that historic feat this season? Well, they have already given up their Munster Senior Cup crown as Shannon beat them in the quarter-finals last weekend, but Garryowen flanker and captain Paul Neville is confident that his team, under new coach Dara O’Sullivan and technical director Greig Oliver, can be in the mix again for AIB League glory.
The former Connacht player talked to journalist Coilin Duffy to preview the new season. Click on the link below to hear the interview in full.
