Referees Confirmed For Heineken Cup Ties

Rugby World Cup final referee Alain Rolland will be back on the big stage when he takes charge of the Heineken Cup round one match between Stade Francais and Harlequins on Saturday, 10 November.

Rolland was in the middle at Stade de France earlier this month when South Africa beat England 15-6 and, three weeks later, the former Ireland scrum half will again be on duty in the French capital.

The leading Irish referee will be controlling his 36th tournament match while fellow Irish official Alan Lewis will referee his 46th Heineken Cup contest when Perpignan host Newport Gwent Dragons on the opening night.

Lewis has been in charge of more tournament matches than any other official, Chris White (England) and Joel Jutge (France) will move onto the 43-match mark at ASM Clermont Auvergne and London Wasps respectively.

The referee appointments for matches in rounds one, two, three and four in November and December, announced by ERC (European Rugby Cup), are as follows:
