AIB League Results Round Up
Clontarf picked up a big win in Dooradoyle while St. Mary’s College got their first win of the season to lift them of the bottom. Young Munster top Division Two while Bruff maintained the meanest defence in the three divisions.
‘Tarf put a major dent in the title holder’s ambition of retaining the champions status when they beat Garryowen in Dooradoyle. St. Mary’s must have been inspired by their recent celebration of the 57/58 side as they picked up their first win of the season to jump off the bottom with a victory over Dungannon.
Shannon continued their unbeaten run with a comprehensive win over Blackrock, while Old Belvedere picked up another losing bonus point away to UCD. Dolphin’s strong form continued with a big win over Lansdowne.

Young Munster were held to a draw at Deramore Park yesterday by Belfast Harlequins, but they still top the league level on points with UCC who scored a big win over Old Cresent.
Clonakilty and Suttonians are still both without a win. Clon lost by a point in Parsonstown to Barnhall while Suttonians made the short trip to College Park but came away on the wrong side of a 24 – 15 scoreline against Dublin University.
Malone won well at Thomond to move to fourth in the table as Highfield, in third, slipped up against DLSP.

Bruff maintained the meanest defense in Division Three with a 34 point drubbing of Waterpark. Bruff have conceded only 17 points in five games in the league.
At Forenaughts Division 3 contenders Inst. were made to work extremely hard by a Naas side with a dogged defense. Despite being under the cosh in the scrum Naas coped with some strong early pressure to leave the result in doubt up to the final whistle.
