Ahead of his fourth appearance in an Ireland jersey, winger Rob Kearney talked to IrishRugby.ie about the mood in the camp, Tommy Bowe’s recall and securing what would be a crucial win over Scotland.
ROB KEARNEY…
ON THE SCOTLAND GAME:
“I’m really looking forward to it. From the previous week in Paris, there’s certainly still a lot of disappointment about it so we’re all just looking to kick on another gear and get a good win.”
ON TOMMY BOWE’S INCLUSION IN THE IRISH SIDE:
It’s great for Tommy. It’s always fantastic to see good form rewarded and certainly Tommy is right up there at the moment in terms of good form. I’m delighted for him.”
ON THE THREAT POSED BY A WINLESS SCOTLAND:
“There’s no doubt about it, Scotland won’t go through a campaign, more than likely, without winning one game. So it has to happen somewhere along the way.
“If we don’t give Scotland the respect they deserve, well then they’re capable of an upset. But certainly we’ll be giving them that respect and going out with all guns blazing.
“Victory this weekend is crucial, we all know that. We’re under no illusions that if we perform to our capabilities well then it won’t be a problem.”
