Connacht coach Michael Bradley knows that his charges will need to produce a big performance if they are to triumph at home to Magners League leaders Leinster on Friday.
Back on home soil after taking charge of Ireland ‘A’ in Scotland last week, Bradley said: “Leinster have taken a clear lead at the top of the table and had a very good win last time out in the Magners League against Cardiff.
“They will be coming here (to the Sportsground) looking to push home their advantage but both sides will be looking for a lot out of the fixture.”
Bradley believes that home advantage can swing it Connacht’s way after some great results for his side at their Galway base this season.
“Leinster’s visits to Galway have always produced close, exciting rugby. It’s a local derby and we always look forward to the contests against the other provinces.
“We’ve run Leinster very close over the last couple of years including last year at home so there’ll be no surprises instore for either side. We know each other very well and we know it’s going to be a tough game.
“They’ll be missing a number of players but we still expect it to be very tight. We’ll be looking to press our home advantage and hopefully we’ll come out on the right side of the score-line,” added the former Ireland scrum half, who will announce his squad for the game on Wednesday.
