Tickets have today gone on sale for the inaugural IRB Junior World Championship which is being held in Wales from June 6 to 22. Tickets for the tournament can now be booked through www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

The tickets are available at GBP£2 for children and £8 for adults for each individual matchday, all of which include at least two games. Venue and team packages are also available from GBP£8 for children and £30 for adults which include a total of 10 matches each.

Wales will welcome rugby fans from all over the world for the tournament which will showcase the finest players at Under-20 level.

Those travelling from afar can take advantage of specially tailored team packages, while the unique regional format of the Junior World Championship will mean that fans from across Wales can view world class rugby without venturing far from their homes.

With the likes of South Africa and Scotland based in Wrexham, New Zealand, Ireland and Argentina battling it out in Cardiff, Australia, England and Fiji entertaining crowds in Newport and Wales hosting France and Italy in Swansea, there is something for everyone.

International Rugby Board Tournament Manager Philippe Bourdarias said: “The rugby community is looking forward to a championship that promises to be the most successful international age grade tournament ever staged.

“The announcement of a competitively priced ticket policy underlines the Welsh Rugby Union’s commitment to making the IRB Junior World Championship accessible to all and the use of four regional venues will further heighten interest and excitement.

“With double header matches played across all four venues on each match day, the IRB Junior World Championship offers an excellent opportunity for the rugby community within Wales to see the next generation of Rugby World Cup stars in action.”
