AIB League: Division Two/Three Ups And Downs

There was plenty of drama on the final day of regulation phase action in Divisions Two and Three of the AIB League. Read on to find out who has won promotion, who is semi-final bound and who will drop a division next season.

AIB LEAGUE UPS AND DOWNS/PLAY-OFFS –

DIVISION TWO:


Promoted to Division One for next season – Buccaneers (Union plaque winners for topping the table) and Young Munster

Championship play-offs – Buccaneers v UCC (Buccaneers at home), Young Munster v Belfast Harlequins (Young Munster at home)

Relegated to Division Three for next season – Suttonians and Barnhall

DIVISION THREE:

Promoted to Division Two for next season – Bruff (Union plaque winners for topping the table) and Instonians

Championship play-offs – Bruff v Banbridge (Bruff at home), Instonians v Queen’s University (Instonians at home)

Relegated to the junior ranks for next season – City of Derry (to be replaced in Division Three by winners of the junior clubs’ round robin series); Waterpark to face a play-off against the runners-up in the junior clubs’ round robin series
